This is the week Yakima Police are making public the names and pictures of people arrested for trying to hire a prostitute.  Yakima Police Captain Rod Light says “for the past month police have been focusing on a problem area for the city, North First Street, where a lot of prostitutes work, we have undercover police who are working as prostitutes and we are making a plethora of arrest.”  This is the first round of arrest made in the last two weeks. More names and pictures are expected to be released tomorrow.

Police plan to release the names and pictures of those arrested hoping to attract media outlets to publish the information, which police hope will stop the demand for prostitution.
