Yakima Police Hoping To Make An Arrest In Homicide

Yakima Police continue the search for the killer of 19-year-old Deprecia Ware of Yakima, who was shot last Friday night near Davis High School.

"Do we have a suspect?" police spokesman Mike Bastinelli said today. "No. Do we have people we want to talk to? Yes." He says a shooting reported Saturday in the area of Custer and Cherry avenues might be connected to Ware's killing. One person suffered a non-life-threatening wound in that shooting. Bastinelli says friends who were with the victim are talking to police.
