Yakima Man Killed in Monday Night Fight – 21-Year-Old Suspect Held

A 45-year-old man was killed in a fight with another man at a home on Cherry avenue in Yakima Monday night.

Yakima Police say the 21-year-old suspect attacked the victim in the basement of a home in the 11 hundred block of Cherry Avenue. Police say when a man and his son heard the fight from outside the home they entered the basement and held the suspect until police arrived. The 45- year- old victim died at a Yakima hospital.

The suspect was arrested on a second degree murder charge. He is being held in the Yakima County Jail Today.

No names have been released.
