Yakima Man Being Held for Attempted Second Degree Murder
A 31-year-old Yakima man faces a charge of attempted second-degree murder after police say he tried to kill his father during an argument at a home on North 80th avenue. Darrel Nidiffer is being held in the Yakima County Jail. Police say Nidiffer stabbed his 51-year-old father with a buck knife late Saturday night. Kurt Nidiffer suffered serious knife wounds to his neck and arm. He was released from a Yakima hospital on Sunday. The investigation continues today.
