Yakima County Sheriff’s Deputies Breaks Up Illegal Cock Fighting Event in Lower Valley

About a thousand people attended a series of chicken fights at a Zillah farm Saturday night. Yakima County Sheriff’s Deputies say when they arrived people started fleeing out of the doors and windows of the shop where the fights were being held. Deputies discovered that the ranch foreman was the promoter of the event. He was taken into custody and sits in the county jail today facing charges. Several others were questioned and released.
