Yakima County Prosecutor Arrested On DUI Charge

Our News Partner KIMA Action News has confirmed Yakima County Prosecuting Attorney Jim Hagarty was arrested and is sitting in the Yakima County Jail Tuesday night.

Washington State Patrol tells us he was involved in a drunk driving accident in Selah. His car was towed and will be held for 12 hours under a new state law.

Troopers tell KIMA Hagarty rear-ended another car on State Route 823. The other driver was not injured. Hagarty was processed at the Yakima County Jail.

As of late Tuesday night, it is unclear if Hagarty will be arraigned first thing Wednesday morning.
