Snow is in the forecast for the Yakima Valley today, and the city is prepared. For the past two days city crews have applied de-icer to city roads and city spokesman Randy Beehler says if enough of the white stuff falls, the plows will be called out.

"When we get three inches or more, that's when the plows start," Beehler says.

The city also has a snow route in the downtown area where cars need to be removed. So pay attention to where you park downtown.
Vehicles that are not removed will be towed away to a city lot and the owner will not only have to pay the tow truck's fee, but also a $50 city fine.
