Business owners in Yakima are about to get an education on how to protect themselves and their customers in case of a workplace shooting. Yakima County Sheriff’s Lt. Brian Winters will talk about an active shooter situation during the West Side Merchants and Business Association meeting on Monday night in Yakima. Winters says it will be an informative meeting that will give business owners ideas about how to form a survival plan. Winters says “It is vital that businesses have a plan in case of an emergency.” The meeting is set for 6:00 p.m. Monday at Yakima Regional Hospital.
