Woman Shot By Husband Dies at Yakima Hospital

27 year old McKaylee Higgs, shot by her husband Cory Lindblom last Friday morning in their Terrace Heights home, has died. According to County Coroner Jack Hawkins, she passed away at a Yakima hospital Wednesday night. The Yakima County Sheriffs department says this doesn't change anything for an ongoing investigation. There are still no charges against Lindblom and he continues to cooperate with police. The shooting happened early last Friday morning in the couples’ bedroom. Lindblom told investigators he thought his wife was an intruder. Higgs was 8 weeks pregnant at the time of her death.
