US Interior Secretary Ken Salazar made a visit to Eastern and Central Washington on Sunday talking about the need for more water storage and visiting the historic B Reactor at Hanford. And while water was the topic in Yakima the topic was about what to do about waste at Hanford when the group including the Governor visited the Tri Cities. The Governor says Yucca mountain is the best place for Hanford waste. Some 15 million gallons of waste that has no other place to go other than Yucca mountain. Salazar and the Governor were joined by 4th District Congressman Doc Hastings, Senator Maria Cantwell and Federal Bureau of Reclamation Commissioner Michael Conner.
