More than $440,000 has been donated to WSU in both grant and earned monies providing support for programs like Grapevine Cold Hardiness, the Grape Foundation Block at Prosser, Viticulture Education, Soil Fertility, a Grape Pest Management Survey, and a Clean Plant Campaign.

The benchmark was acknowledged during the last meeting of the Washington Wine Industry Foundation Board of Directors with a “Benefactor” plaque presented by Washington State University Representative Caroline Troy and Ste Michelle Wine Estates CEO Ted Baseler.

Baseler said, “Thank you for your contribution and support, and thank you all for serving. This is volunteer work but it takes time and effort and we appreciate that.”

WWIF Chair Roger Gamache shared that he “…accepted on behalf of all the people that support the Foundation with donations and those who have stepped up in the industry.”
