A woman who escaped a White Swan house fire has died of her injuries at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

71-year-old Linda Hart suffered severe burns in the fire and died on Wednesday.

The fire happened at a home on Maple Avenue on Tuesday morning. Firefighters say an electrical problem with a fan started might have started the fire that spread to a couch.

Linda Hart and her sister Cheryl were burned as they tried to escape with the help of a neighbor. Cheryl Hart remains in satisfactory condition at Harborview in Seattle.

The cause is under investigation.
