If you are a veteran you'll get a long list of free services at the Stand Down benefits fair set for Saturday October 22 in the Modern Living building at State Fair Park.  Dave Brown is Coordinator of the Yakima County Veterans Program who says the benefits fair is free to vets and their families. "These new guys coming back they transition out so fast they're not aware of the benefits they can take advantage of." Services like dental and health screenings and help with for homeless vets including free blankets and jackets donated by the community will be available on Saturday.
A free lunch is also being served. The Stand Down Veterans benefits fair is set for Saturday, October 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 3;00 p.m. in the Modern Living building at State Fair Park in Yakima.
