Vehicle Used in Drive-By Found, Accident Claims Life of Teenager
- No arrests yet in the shooting death of one man and injuries to another man and a 7-year-old boy in Outlook on Monday.
The Yakima Sheriff's Office has identified the man who died as 37-year-old Noel Yebras Cepeda. The other two injured, including the 7-year-old, have non-life threatening injuries. A 34-year-old man, who remains at a Yakima hospital, was only identified as a relative and authorities are not releasing the name of the the 7-year-old boy who is recovering at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The Yakima Sheriff's Office says they have found the car they believe was used in the shooting. It was a stolen vehicle that was set on fire just minutes after the shooting and abandoned only a couple miles away at the corner of Van Belle Road and Nichols Road.
The drive-by shooting at the home in Outlook was reported late Monday night.
- The Washington State Patrol says one man is dead and two other injured after a driver lost control and rolled near Wapato.
Troopers say 18-year-old Manuel Guzman from Toppenish was driving on North Track Road around 5 p.m. Tuesday when he lost control of the his vehicle and it rolled off the road. Guzman, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected and died at the scene of the crash.
Two other passengers ages 16 and 19 were treated and released at the scene. The cause is under investigation.
