You started in grade school when you created that first handmade masterpiece for mom. But if that’s where your Valentine’s creativity peaked, you’ve got a lot of miles to go before you sleep! Time to get down with science!

Pinterest reports that there are 300 percent more "Valentine's Day science experiment" pins this year compared to last year.

Among the category's top pins is a recipe for one of my childhood favorites - Lemon Juice Invisible Ink. There is also the questionable "love potions" for preschoolers.

Pinterest says that overall, there have been 30 times more STEM-related pins this year compared to last year.

Valentine’s is a holiday for love so remember what your mother said, it’s just as easy to love a rich/and/or/scientifically curious person as it is someone else!

The parenting categories saw over a 55 percent increase of searches for the term "experiment" in 2015, and the website sees the biggest spike in searches for the term around June, February and October, when kids are getting out of school, and around two craft-centric holidays, Valentine's Day and Halloween.
