United Way Day Of Action Set For Wednesday In Yakima

United Way of Central Washington is taking action to make the community a better place to live and the Day of Action is set for Wednesday at the McDonald's parking lot on Yakima Avenue, the kick-event for the fall campaign. If you own a business you're encouraged to get your company involved. United Way officials say you can get involved in three ways. Attend the Day of Action kick off event. Help fill the big yellow school bus with school supplies and or children's clothing.
Volunteer time on a full or half-day project to benefit one of the local non -profit agencies.
The annual Day of Action starts at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday at the McDonald's parking lot at 19 East Yakima Avenue.
A breakfast sandwich and drink will be provided for all United Way volunteers.
