Unborn Baby Didn’t Die From Kick To Mom’s Stomach Says Coroner

Yakima County Coroner Jack Hawkins says an unborn baby who police say died after the mother was kicked in the stomach actually died from an umbilical cord being wrapped around its neck. Authorities say Querida Guerrero kicked her 22 year old daughter in the stomach during an argument at a Buena home late last month. Hawkins says it's possible the cord became wrapped around the baby’s neck after the kick to the stomach but he says it's unlikely. Hawkins says the case is still under investigation.
