Tree Trimming Wednesday Afternoon Along Washington Avenue

Yakima city officials will be busy trimming trees along a one-block section of Washington Avenue and it could impact your commute Wednesday afternoon.
Crews will be cutting back branches on trees in the 2700 block of Washington Avenue to improve driver and pedestrian safety in the area from 1:00 pm until about 3:00 p.m. Westbound traffic along that section of Washington will be reduced to one lane while the work is ongoing.
Flaggers will be in place to reroute drivers away from the area where tree trimming operations will be underway.
Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained and traffic will be allowed through the project area when possible.
