The Yakima city legal department has been working on a tougher version of the ordinance the city council members will be taking about on Tuesday during the regular business meeting.
To allow the city to continue to call the camp temporary the city will require that the camp be vacated every five months so the city doesn't face liability if crime happens at the camp.
However the council won't be talking about the pit bull ban and the downtown plaza...issues that were shelved during the last council meeting because a council member was absent.
In fact the council made no major decisions on three major issues. The council postponed action on the enhanced dangerous dogs ordinance, the Yakima Rotary Aquatics Center planned for Chesterley Park were postponed for future action.
