(Updated Monday 5:00 A.M.) Selah Wildfire Continues To Burn [VIDEO]

Fire crews were busy overnight dousing hot spots in a fire that started Sunday afternoon near Harlan Landing in Selah. The fire burned parts of the Selah Ridge and spread burning more than 400 acres before firefighters were able to gain the upper hand and partially contain the fire. At last check the fire was 50 percent contained.

Investigators say the fire started at about 1:00 p.m. Sunday near a homeless camp north of the landing and spread up the hill and towards Selah. Residents living on fourth, fifth and seventh streets in Selah were told to be ready to evacuate Sunday afternoon after the fire burned near their homes but the evacuation orders have been lifted. Nearly 100 were threatened by the fire. Fire crews remain on the scene today hoping to gain full containment.
