Sunnyside Prosecutor Arrested

The City of Sunnyside is looking for a temporary replacement for a city prosecutor after Washington State Patrol Troopers arrested Kathleen Hitchcock on suspicion of driving drunk.

Interim City Manager John Darrington says Hitchcock was arrested Tuesday. He says the city temporarily suspended her pending a review of the DUI charges.

If charged with a DUI, he says the city will consider possible early termination.

Hitchcock is a Yakima attorney contracted as the Sunnyside City Prosecutor.
