Sunnyside Man Dies In Stabbing Police Searching For Suspects

Sunnyside Police detectives are investigating after a fatal stabbing reported early Saturday at a home in the 1300 block of outh 13th Street. Officers were called to a fight at a juvenile party. When they arrive they found a 18-year-old Joshua Mungia suffering from stab wounds. He died at Sunnyside Community Hospital. No arrests have yet been made. The preliminary investigation indicates the victim arrived at a residence and a fight started between the victim and other suspects. At some point, one of the suspects assaulted the Mungia. Police say the suspects sped away from the scene in a light colored Toyota or Honda passenger car. Mungia was helped into another car and delivered to the Sunnyside hospital where he died shortly after arrival. The investigation continues Today.
