It's mid-June and the summer driving season is on. And the good news is that gas prices haven't changed in the past week, averaging $2.58 per gallon Sunday, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy's daily survey of 91 gas outlets in Yakima. This compares with the national average that has fallen 4.5 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.34 a gallon, according to GasBuddy.com. Including the change in gas prices in Yakima during the past week, prices yesterday were 48.4 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 10.7 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has increased 6.1 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 46.0 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.

According to GasBuddy historical data, gasoline prices on June 20 in Yakima have ranged widely over the last five years:

$3.06/g in 2015, $3.88/g in 2014, $3.79/g in 2013, $3.97/g in 2012 and $3.87/g in 2011.

Tacoma- $2.64/g, down 0.8 cents per gallon from last week's $2.65/g.

Seattle- $2.68/g, up 0.6 cents per gallon from last week's $2.68/g.
