Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Suspect in Teacher’s 2013 Murder

Yakima County sheriff's deputies have made an arrest in the April 2013 murder of a Wapato Middle School art teacher.

Desiree Sunford was found shot to death in her Terrace Heights home last year. Detectives served multiple search warrants in and around Moses Lake Thursday morning and arrested 27-year-old Marty Grismer.

Investigators say they found evidence linking Grismer to the murder of Sunford. He's being held in the Yakima County jail on a first-degree murder charge.

Authorities say the arrest came after someone called in a tip to Crimestoppers of Yakima County.
