A charge of second degree murder was filed Monday against the second suspect accused in last week's deadly downtown shooting. Prosecutors charged 23-year-old Irving Alvarez with second degree murder. He also faces weapons charges. Police say Alvarez and 15-year-old Daniel Perez Jr. shot 26 year old Octavio Rangel, last Tuesday near the transit center. Bail for Alvarez stands at $1 million dollars. There's been no decision yet whether the teen will be tried as an adult court. A hearing is set for Nov. 9th, but last week prosecutors did indicate they're seeking to try him as an adult on murder charges.
