Classes are canceled Friday at Seattle Pacific University, following Thursday's shooting that killed one and wounded two in a campus building.

The university is holding a service of "prayer, lament and worship" at noon at the First Free Methodist Church on campus. The church was overflowing Thursday evening at a similar service.

Although classes are canceled the university asked staff to keep regular hours Friday and make themselves available to students. The university says counselors also are available to students who want help processing the tragic event.

The building where the shooting took place, Otto Miller Hall, will remain closed for the time being.
