WALLA WALLA  (AP) — A transient man has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a U.S. Postal worker in Walla Walla.

The Union-Bulletin reports that the victim, 32-year-old Justin Courie, said was he was delivering mail when he noticed a man behaving strangely.

Police reports say the man was 26-year-old Nicholas Hunter.

Police say the Postal worker asked Hunter if there was anything wrong and Hunter punched him in the face.

Courie then tackled Hunter and tried to restrain him while a witness called 911.

Hunter freed himself and fled with the witness following.

When police caught hunter, he said Courie had asked him repeatedly if there was a problem and had wanted to fight.
