Police Searching for Third Suspect in Robbery

Police in Yakima have arrested two people and are looking for a third in connection with a theft from a store and the assault of an employee.

Police say around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday a man and woman took items from the Yakima Indoor Mart on Ranch Rite Road. When the clerk followed the two outside, a woman attacked the employee. The clerk then pepper-sprayed one of the suspects in their car before they took off.

Police followed the car to Wapato before they called off the chase. Police later found the car abandoned and after a short foot chase, took the two into custody. The man was carrying an illegal sawed-off shotgun.

Police are still looking for the driver of the getaway car.
