Police Report Intruder Shot by Woman at Sultan-area Home

SULTAN, Wash. (AP) — Authorities say a woman called 911 saying she shot someone who broke into her Sultan-area home and assaulted her husband.

The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said in a tweet that the woman called authorities Thursday night.

Both the intruder and husband were injured in the incident and one of them was flown to a hospital for treatment.

Roads in the area were closed by authorities for an investigation.

No other details were immediately available.
