The Yakima School District Board of Directors has appointed Raymond Navarro, Jr., to replace David Garcia who left the Yakima community for employment reasons. The appointment was made Wednesday evening, November 2, after conducting interviews of five interested applicants. Navarro will take the oath of office on Friday, November 4.

There remains one vacant position on the school board due to the resignation of Jim Scoggins, effective November 15. Interested community members may pick up an application packet at the Yakima School District Central Services, 104 North 4th Avenue, prior to November 16.
