Off-Duty Firefighter Walks in on Home Burglary

kit

An off-duty firefighter is lucky he wasn’t shot after he walked in on a couple burglars last
Friday morning who then fired shots at him. Yakima County Sherrif’s deputies
say the two men were trying to rip off a property on the 200 block of Potter
Road in Tieton.  The firefighter actually lives next door, and it was his
brother’s home that was targeted. As the suspects fled in a vehicle they fired
shots at the firefighter. He used his radio to call authorities but the
suspects couldn’t be found and no arrests were made. The suspects were driving a
silver colored Toyota type sedan. No suspect description was available other
than two males.
