It's called No Turning Back and it's the latest Warren Miller ski film that's set for Thursday night in the Capital Theater in Yakima. Kathleen Goyette spokesperson for the White Pass Ski area says the film is the unofficial opening of the ski and snowboarding season in Central Washington. "It's a great time to for everybody to come out and get reconnected. We all spread out during the spring and summer but all of us skiers and snowboarders love to get together and kick off the season at the Capital Theater."
The event gets underway at 7:30 p.m. thursday at the Yakima Capital Theater. tickets are available at the Capital Theater box office or the Yakima Sporthaus.
Goyette says the ski/snowboard season provides a big boost to the Central Washington economy.
