New Vision Needs A New Leader As McFadden Takes Seattle Post — Dave’s Diary

Dave McFadden, president of Yakima’s Economic Development organization New Vision,  is resigning to take over as development director of the Port of Seattle.

The resignation is effective July 22, and McFadden expects to begin his new job in earnest sometime in August.  He says his 24 years at New Vision has prepared him for this opportunity but it will be tough to leave Yakima.

He says the new job will allow him to maintain connections with the Yakima Valley and the rest of the Pacific Northwest, adding that the Seattle Port wants to maintain a regional focus.
