New developments in the murder of a Sunnyside man show a connection to an officer-involved shooting Tuesday. Two people are now in custody for first-degree murder. Our news partner KIMA Action News reports investigators say at least one more suspect is still wanted by authorities. Daisy Valencia made her first court appearance for first degree murder for the death of 40-year-old Jose Manuel Correa. James Long is the other suspect in custody after investigators say they continue to follow a strange trail. County Sheriff's Detective Robert Udell says they found Correa's beaten body earlier this month in a ditch near Granger, a half-mile from where his pickup truck was torched.

Authorities now say the case is connected to Tuesday's shooting that involved an officer in Sunnyside. Court documents show Marcus Torres is one of a handful of suspects still wanted in connection to Correa's death. Another suspect is Valencia's boyfriend, Isaac Cruz.
