Driving through the city of Naches, it will be easy to see a lot of "Vote Yes" signs.

Superintendent of the Naches School District Duann Lyons says the signs are in support of a bond and levy the district is hoping will be successful in February.

Lyons says the bond would allow the district to build a new elementary school to replace both the primary and intermediate schools.

”Those buildings were a great investment for the community and they’ve served us well over the last 60 years but they’re frankly just worn out.”

The bond is proposed for 25 years and will ask for more than $22 million.

The other issue on the Feb. 11 ballot will be a replacement of the districts' expiring school operating levy to maintain current services.
