As summer travel over Snoqualmie Pass starts to wind down, work to improve nearly 10 miles of eastbound Interstate 90 between Easton and Cle Elum will resume next week.

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and construction crews will start setting-up the traffic configuration that will be used after Labor Day to direct traffic around the work zone. Drivers may experience minor delays on Monday night, Aug. 22 through Friday morning, Aug. 26, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Crews are working to extend the life of the roadway and provide a smoother ride by replacing deteriorating concrete panels and asphalt shoulders in the eastbound lanes of I-90. This project is scheduled to be finished fall 2012.
