The city is holding a public work session at City Hall to talk about improvements along North First Street, considered the official entrance to the city of Yakima.

City Manager Tony O'Rourke says the city must invest in the area to help address major concerns that a lot of people have about the city.

We’ve made major investments in Yakima Avenue, but we need to continue to make those investments if the community wants to reach its’full potential.
