Man Killed After Being Hit By Semi On Nob Hill Boulevard

A 49-year-old man was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer rig Wednesday night near the intersection of 18th Street and East Nob Hill Boulevard in Yakima.

Yakima Police say the man, who has not been identified, was hit as he was crossing Nob Hill Boulevard. from the north side of the road to the south side. The crash was reported at about 6:40 p.m.
Police say the semi was getting into the turn lane to drive south on 18th Street when he hit the pedestrian, who was not using the crosswalk. An investigation continues today.
