Local First Responders Remember 9-11

Firefighters and law enforcement gathered in front of the Yakima Convention Center today for a ceremony to mark the 12th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks. Yakima Fire Department Chaplin Susan Whitman lead the ceremony with a moment of silence and a message for Yakima. “It’s a day to remember those people who gave their lives whether voluntarily or not on this day just 12 years ago.”

More than one hundred first responders attended today’s short ceremony in front of the Yakima Convention Center.
