Kids Robbed While Playing New Pokemon Go Game

Yakima Police are warning of the danger of playing the new Pokemon Go game. They say people are being lured to areas or are robbed in common areas where kids and others are staring at phones. The game is the modern day version of geocaching. Through a special phone app people hunt for characters in the game by pointing their phone at certain buildings or properties and the character appears. The problem is that some people are going onto private property. And kids playing the new game were robbed by two suspects at gunpoint just after midnight Tuesday while playing the game in the 200 block of South 3rd Avenue and Walnut.
