Breathe easier moms. A study revealed on babycenter.com suggests there is NO significant social or emotional damage done on kids whose mothers work.  That’s good news for lots of mom’s who do work  but worry about their kids at home or in daycare.  The article suggests that children fare ok if the mother works.

  

The study also suggested that working mothers can be distinguished from non-working mothers on a number of levels in that working moms are more likely to be better educated, wealthier and less depressed.  One interesting side note to the study is that girls actually appeared to fare less well than boys in households where the father was the breadwinner and the mother did not work, compared with homes where both parents worked, according to the researchers.
