Jedi’s For Jesus Not Welcome Down Under

You have to hand it to those fun loving Australians looking to buffalo the national census.  Some of the less religious types down under don’t want the outback to appear out of control when it comes to the prevalence of religion.

The problem for them it seems, is that apparently ANY kind of religion counts as, well,  a Religion!   SO, atheists in Australia are being urged not to register as "Jedi" for their religion to prevent results of a national census from being skewed to make the country appear more religious than it really is!

As Obi-Wan Kenobi might say, “These aren’t the kangaroos you seek!”

The Atheist Foundation of Australia posted on Facebook, discouraging Australians from marking their religion as "Jedi" or other "joke religions" because a joke religion counts in the grand total of all religions.

The post, which featured cartoons of members of the fictional religion from the Star Wars films, read, "If old religious men in robes don't represent you ... don't mark yourself as 'Jedi.'"   May the farce be with us. (UPI)
