It’s A National Holiday Today

Today is a National holiday so don't look for the mail and forget about doing any banking unless it's online. That's because all Federal, State and local offices banks and post offices are closed for the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. But while banks and the post offices are closed a majority of local businesses are open. Remember if you are driving in the downtown area during the noon hour on Monday the annual Martin Luther King Jr. March starts at 5th Avenue and Martin Luther King way and proceeds East to the Yakima Convention Center on North 8th Street. Traffic in that area is usually impacted for about an hour.
