McGillvary was arrested by Philadelphia Police at the Greyhound bus terminal and is being held on $3 million bail according to WPVI TV.

“I am grateful for the overwhelming response and dedicated effort by the public and law enforcement that led to this arrest,” said Union County Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow in a statement. “I believe that everyone is a little safer with this person off the streets.”

WPVI reports that McGillvary spent Monday night at a fan’s home in Glassboro, New Jersey just outside Philadelphia. Eric, one of the people who lives in the home, told the TV station, “We didn’t know when he was staying here. He didn’t give any signs of it. He was a nice enough guy and everything, but afterwards it kind of made sense after everything we are hearing. You go back on all of the stuff he was saying and it all made sense.”

McGilvary spent some time in Philadelphia before trying to leave late Thursday afternoon. “He said he was going down to Georgia trying to catch a bus, but other than that, I don’t know,” Eric told WPVI.
