Doc Hastings is busy in Washington D.C. with the government shutdown but his office was still a hotspot on Saturday.

As part of the National Day of Dignity and Respect supporters of immigration reform held a rally at Hastings' office as a call to action for Congress to implement changes to immigration.

KIMA TV reports that there were approximately 300 people at the rally. There were nearly 180 similar rallies around the country.

The supporters were of various backgrounds with immigrant families, students and even clergymen attending the rally.

Hastings had no comment on his website. He remains in the nation's capital working to solve the nation's budget.
