Crews are trying to get as many highway improvements done on I-90 over Snoqualmie Pass before the snow falls. Drivers need to plan for added travel time next week due to rock blasting and single lane closures on Interstate 90 east of Snoqualmie Pass.

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and contractor crews will close I-90 in both directions from Gold Creek (milepost 56) to the Price Creek Sno Park (milepost 61) for rock blasting on Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Due to the uncertain nature of rock blasting, the blasting closures could last longer and are subject to schedule changes due to weather.

Drivers will also run into delays near Easton due to lane closures in both directions Friday, Sept. 30, though the start of winter. Mondays typically have higher traffic volumes, so plan for an hour of added travel time.
