No one was home at the time of a fire in Yakima's historic Barge Chestnut neighborhood Thursday afternoon. The house fire was spotted by a neighbor who helped rescue 2 dogs from the home. Crews responded to the 1700 block of Park Lane around 11 after a neighbor called 911 spotting the flames coming from the back porch. No one was home at the time. it took about 20 minutes to bring under control. Firefighters say the the fire got into the attic and there is extensive damage to back side of the home.
