Homeless Network Of Yakima County Counting Homeless This Month

The Homeless Network of Yakima County needs your help later this month. The annual Point In Time Survey, a count of the homeless is set for January 26th. Along with the count an event called Project Homeless Connect is also held in Yakima and Sunnyside. It's a service fair for the homeless. The Network is looking for items for the fair such as warm clothing, coats, shoes, blankets, backpacks, sleeping bags and duffle bags, and personal hygiene items. Officials are also looking for volunteers to help in the count later this month. If you can help or donate items call Yakima County Department of Human Services at 574-1520.
