Highway 12 Construction Work On Hold For Long Labor Day Weekend

The State DOT is trying to give holiday drivers a break.

Road construction will stop and all lanes will be open on Highway 12 between Yakima and the West side of the state now through Monday. The State DOT says Labor Day weekend traffic is typically heavier on State highways than any other weekend of the year, often doubling the summer weekend average.
