A helicopter crash in British Columbia on Saturday resulted in the death of Monson Fruit Company President Michael Monson. According to Royal Canadian Mounted Police, 48-year-old Monson was on a helicopter fishing trip in the Cambell River area when the helicopter clipped a tree and crashed. The crash happened near Bute Inlet, northeast of Cambell River. Five others survived the crash and 1 remains in a Canadian hospital today. Officials with the helicopter company say they learned of the crash Saturday night after the helicopter's tracker machine stopped working.

Monson was trapped in the wreckage. His body was removed on Monday Afternoon.
